Salivita ... what my Grandpa and my dad used to call Williams because he would spit in your face if he had to make his point ... was among of the best of the best ... his eyes were so good that he claimed to be able to see sparks that were generated by foul balls off his bat ....

Gwynn could flick a ball to left field at will .....

Honorable mentions to players of the last few decades must go out to Rose, Brett, Molitor, Murray

Yep ... and the last time he hit 400 .... I think he was given the opportunity to sit down by his manager ... because he was borderline .... and refuse and went something like 4 for 5.
