I am wondering what this scripture means to you.

I am not looking to debate, just to find out from you that if you were reading this scripture for yourself, what would it mean to you?

I have underlined verses that in particular jumped out at me.

Anyone?
To me, it means being unselfish.

Re: Let Him Deny Himself

To me these verses are not at all referring to anything that I might deny myself the enjoyment of, of any other form of self flagilation or any type of suffering for lack of anything.

Jesus said , (paraphrase)"If you want to be my disciple, you must deny yourself any thought that your self effort will gain you any benefit toward becoming my disciple. You must believe that I did it all. If you make the effort, then you'll take the credit. Jesus get's all the glory."

Re: Let Him Deny Himself

I agree with all the posts so far. Thank you Jesus for your self sacrifice for us.
