Yea, and I never can pronounce those designer's names anyway. I do like the Tommy hats though. Reminds me of Dr. Suess.

Re: Question about sinful clothing

At this one church I used to go to, we stopped wearing anything with the Nike name or symbol on it because Nike was the name of some god in Greek mythology. I thought it was silly, but I went along with it.

Re: Question about sinful clothing

I think if you personally choose to not use your money to support a specific company or brand, that's great. To say it is a sin is overstepping, IMO.

Hey, I never heard of these stores. We do now have a Wal Mart in Juneau. I just don't get to go over there very often, maybe twice a year.

What say ye? Are there any I missed that you are agains?
I don't think it is a sin to wear clothing from the designers you mentioned above if they were modest apparel. If they were to dress like some of the models on the billboards then it may be sinful.

With that said, I believe if someone bases whether they purchase clothing or not from a designer strictly on their marketing campaign then they would be hard pressed to buy any clothing. Even some of the "low-end" department stores have "racy" ads sometimes.

Re: Question about sinful clothing

I certainly do think that we should be careful in whom be patronize with our money, and certainly Christians should wear modest clothing we don't have to be 20 yrs. out of fashion, but male and female should not dress provactive either. If it ain't for sell don't advertise.
