It just seems more of a distraction from really worshiping for the people in the church. I would think that they would be watching her instead of worshiping.
We're usually looking at the preacher while he is speaking, and we're blessed by the word.
So if we're looking at the praise dancers while the music is playing, we can still be blessed by what we're seeing and hearing at the same time... and still worship God freely if we wish.

Daniel 12:3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars for ever.
It is more compelling to me than "shouting" and running the aisles. And really it seemed different than the interpretive motions I have seen. Like she was feeling it not just doing it.
But if interprative dancing is wrong because it is staged what about Church Christmas or Easter plays?
I agree! We had a concert at our church a few weeks ago that featured all of our various music ministries, and at the end our youth dept. drama team did a presentation that included small portions of choreographed dance. It was incredibly powerful, and at the end the altar flooded with young people seeking after God.
My brother (pastor) came up to me after it was over, and said, the first person who comes up to me with something negative to say about that, is getting a piece of my mind!
We have all seen: The Sway, The sway and dip with the hitch-hiking thumb during, "My Minds Made Up No Turning Back", the passed out lady with a prayer cloth covering her whatnots, the motorcycle kick start, the funky chicken, the spintop, the shrieking helicopter, the worm, the upside down worm, the crash into the pulpit and destroy it--Macnamee New Brunswick, the galloping neighing horse--CLC, the pew jump, the jump off of the platform and circle the church, the Apostolic of the Lord Jesus Christ's elbow knocker (you put your arms out front with hands up and then clap the elbows together), the african voodoo looking offering marches, the tuck and roll--Oakland California, the run across the front to the side of the church then up the stairs to the balcony across the balcony and then down the other stairs, the bend over stretch your back and put your butt into someone's face as they are kneeling......................sooooo what's wrong with a little class????? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe God likes it all....even the dude who justs sits on his pew and quietly worships. I also think we should ALL try a little of all the above too!!!!

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
I don't know that one, I went my first year in NB, took my choir and sang Kirk Franklin, I haven't been asked back BTW, we will help do the music this year so maybe I have been forgiven?????
