I've spoken on healing before, yet many choose to make matters difficult.

It takes faith to believe:

1)There's a God
2)God hears your daily prayers
3)God forgives your daily sins after repentance prayer

Is this not the same faith utilized for miracles, healing, etc? I tell folks to turn their "receive knob" from receiving forgiveness to receiving healing.

Humanity by nature directs their faith toward a doctor rather than God. I was experiencing tooth pain a while ago, to the point of tears. I relayed this info to a friend I was having a phone conversation with. Her response was "you always emphasis and speak on faith, speak faith!"

I could have slapped myself! I was to occupied focusing on my pain that I had forgotten God. I then laid my right hand on my cheek, rebuked the pain and confessed healing, it disappeared instantly.

Healing is the children's bread!

This sounds like the way the late John Wimber would teach.

Oh, after I said that I thought it might sound negative.
I do not mean it that way at all.
I realize John Wimber was controversial (and to some not even saved)
but I consider him a man of God.

I appreciate your posts.

Hope this doesn't cause problems.

In my opinion, "faith" is "trust."

Some times we think that if we have enough faith or the right kind of faith, then God "has to" respond in the way we think. We think that we can claim the promises and God immediately jumps. With real faith, we trust that God will do what is best in His own way and in His own time.

Re: Bible Study ~How to Heal the Sick~

Bump.

I like this thread.

I was used by God once in healing. It was at a women's conference, and the young lady was terminally ill. All in attendance knew her condition, which was a very PAINFUL disorder ... (sclerderma, or something like that). It was asked at the onset of the service that NONE lay hands on this lady, as the pain of touching her would be unbearable for her.

I had been at the altar praying for myself. Many others had surrounded this sick lady. As requested, none were touching her. Then God told ME to "go to her." I did. And as I stood in front of her, my eyes open, God told me to "hold your hands out." I did, palms up, tears rolling down my face. As the sick lady looked in my eyes she seemed to know that she needed to reach out to me... and she very gently reached out and laid her hands on mine, and POW! I'm telling you the electric that came through me to her almost knocked me down. It felt like hot molten lava was flowing through my veins! Pure power. And she started screaming, "My God, My God... I feel it. I feel it!" This lasted about 5 minutes. (I was exhausted afterwards.)

This young lady, I might add, had not yet been saved. Not sure what happened to her "spiritual life" after that. But I do know that SHE IS STILL ALIVE TODAY (6 years later)!

Praise GOD!

Since this healing episode, I have felt more callings to pray healing with individuals... but I've never experienced again that bolt... that power.

I wondered what I was doing wrong these subsequent times. So I asked God, "Why would you send me to them to pray, and then nothing?"

The one thing that dawned on me was this: The first lady, the one who received, HAD TO REACH FOR IT! I couldn't impart it to her... it was the "reaching out" and touching the hem of His garment that did it for her! Maybe there is a pattern in this??

Praise GOD!

I would love to hear others' stories!!
