See? Don't blame me if you are watching too much TV and take things out of context...

I don't see what 10 Years Younger has to do with this conversation.

It makes all the sense in the world...especially if I knew what in the Sam Hill you were talking about.

When she opens her mouth...you question in your mind every thing that comes out.

She was confronted today about something she told yesterday. It took one phone call to know the truth...but before the phone call ended she was telling more.

The Learning Channel's "10 Years Younger"

They take frazzled, tired out, self-neglected women (and every now and then a man), fix their teeth, smooth out their skin, tweeze their eyebrows, doll them up in a new outfit, hair and makeup, and voila! They look "10 Years Younger"

So...that's what I'm semi-watching....

And you said something about watching tv.....

Oh dear.

I've really lost track of this conversation.

There's a guy who does makeup who looks like a girl--and wears his hair in a bun half the time. Ironic, I say.

Sounds like she needs lots of prayer. It's not like you can tape her mouth shut and make her stop lying.

Most churches would be split down the middle--the Fashionistas and the Don't-Cares. The Fashionistas would pass with flying colors and the Don't-Cares would be carted off like lambs to the slaughter.

Honestly, though, I have pointed out to my daughters that dressing in a flattering manner, fixing your hair, tweezing your brows, having good teeth and healthy skin--that's most of the beauty process right there. There is no good reason to look ugly simply because you wear a dress and don't wear lipstick.

I'll just take my toe off the soapbox before it gets too firmly planted.

Dignity? What dignity?

This is why I respect and think so highly of you Ms. B. You can take a nonsensical comment like the one I made and turn it into something you could have calligraphied on a plate!

Good form and good night!

Re: Need Advice on how to deal with Liars

I use to watch a little boy that told some really big ones.
When his Dad dropped him off one morning the first thing out of his mouth was " Did you see that big guy looking in your bedroom window?" He ws standing there when we pulled up"!! He told me the color of the mans shirt and did a good job of it. Of course at first it shook me up, then I wondered why his Dad didn't come up to the door with him.

I gave it a little time and I talked to him again about it. He finally admitted he lied
When I talked to his Mom about it...she said he is just like his Dad.
