Re: Are Beards The Mark Of The Beast?
Ok. We discussed this in person, if I recall. Really, I don’t think even 25% of the card carrying members believe in the light doctrine.

Yea but if the head of the organization stands for this, in years to come it will become more and more. We left for one huge reason a lot of UPC churches are now even saying that Acts 2:38 is not essential.
There was a lot of reasons but that was one of them, and it began from the induction of the Light Doctrine by Western Apostolic Bible College. After that and Kenneth Haney being General Superintendent, there began to be a number of them that said Acts 2:38 wasn't essential. While this wasn't embraced by the whole (please understand) many people saw the pattern and the way things were headed and left.
This is all im saying. Now if you know of a church this isn't true im not talking about it.

If your pastor taught that, would you submit and grow your beard? Or would you find another church to attend?

I'd grow mine to my belt buckle.

No diplomacy involved. It is all about relationship with more than one brother.
As a minister, I'm supposed to be a help, not a headache to my fellow laborers.
So, if I want to bow up against what the elders are teaching, I need to either git er done, or git me gawn.
