Great point.

Has it become "too much show and not enough go" as to drive up the costs?

I guess I really don't understand. How can General Conference cost too much?

Are they not setting up the conference center hotel properly?

Are they having too many paid speakers/paid singers?

Are they putting out too much money for district and national officials to stay in rooms that are too fancy and meals that are too expensive?

Seems to me you work within your budget. If you can't do so, then you only allow so many people to come, you rent the venue that you can afford, and have people sign up--allowing only those first X amount to come--then open up voting to the general constituency via internet.

Hmmm... Doesn't sound too hard to figure out.

Let's all stay at Motel 6, and have an all volunteer work force that pays their own flight costs to conference. Who will volunteer to go and work that week?
Hmmmmm, any takers?

I know its a little out of the ordinary, but maybe they should do like the old timers did, and walk by faith. IF God don't provide, then it may be a sign that he did not guide.

I wonder how many lost folks will shell out the 25 bucks to get in??

Simon the sorcerer comes to mind when we start charging to hear preaching.

Dan this will probably get met banned for the first and only time but...

But you are the most pompous donkey I have ever come across in my life.

That is the most ignorant comment that I have seen in four years of posting on FCF, NFCF and now here.

If you ever get the Holy Ghost, I pray that God will give you the opportunity to correct all of the vile filth that you have spewed across the internet.

Maybe if you...

Nah forget it

I'm out
