I knew an old lady who lived in a shoe,
She had so many children she didn't know what to do.

How is she?

Joan:

My shoe lady.

See, here's the story....

Over a year ago, we went shopping at the Galleria in St Louis. I was actually looking for shoes but hesitated to go in this one store b/c all the customers were the uppidy type. You know? I thought..."oh, they are gonna look down on me or think "what is she doing in this store" etc...((basically I had an inferiority complex moment))

Anyway, I didnt go in the store, well I did for a few seconds but the uppidy customers made me uncomfortable and so I left.

Later when I passed back by the store, I decided to go in ((no customers))

Joan was my sales lady. She INSTANTLY made me feel welcome, comfortable and she treated me like I was her only customer and the Queen to boot. You know? It only took her a few moments to know what I like and which shoes I need in my real size and what style I might need in a slightly larger size. She took time to get to know my husband and my kids. She just made me feel - oh I dont know how to explain it. It was great.

Well, several weeks later we were back at the mall and we passed by the store and went it - she remembered not only my name, she remembered my style preference, my size and the names of my kids and husband - and they werent with me. I was with my mom. AND she remembered to ask about my dad (he was sick at the time)

anyway - her customer service is above and beyond any sales person I have ever met. To this day, I have never purchased another pair of shoes from anyone but Joan - I dont even look at shoes anywhere without feeling guilty.

When she told me the other day she was moving and going to manage the store in Cincinnati - I was literally devistated. We hugged, we cried....my kids hugged her - they cried. My husband, as I earlier mentioned, was embarassed....but he hugged her! Told her we'd be vacationing in Cincinnati from now on so I could buy shoes. She told me just to call her and she'd ship whatever I wanted...

so I will - I need these one shoes in cream..

That's Joan, my shoe lady

Not totally kidding here. Customer Service is so rare these days.
Is she a Christian? If not she would put some of us to shame.
