POA just posted a statement on FB 20 minutes ago:
A message from our pastors to the POA church family:
Gathering with the church is vitally important to the believer. Because of this, we will not be canceling any of our services at this time. In the event a state or federal agency issues a directive closing public events, we will comply.
Following are our suggested guidelines, some of them from Governor John Bel Edwards’ website:
▪️If you are showing symptoms that are common with the coronavirus (a fever with coughing and shortness of breath), first seek medical attention. If you have these symptoms – or other flu symptoms – please stay home and watch the service online via Facebook, YouTube, or LiveStream.
▪️Remember our standing policy in Wonderland ChildCare and POA Kids is that children must be fever free for 24 hours before being admitted into these areas.
▪️We encourage you to wash your hands frequently. (We are providing hand sanitizer in highly visible places throughout our campus buildings, requesting everyone use these products frequently while on our campus.)
▪️Refrain from simple actions such as shaking hands and then touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
▪️Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue.
With the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) we want to assure you we are carefully monitoring this situation at POA. We are taking a proactive approach to ensure our environments are clean and safe, and that your health and well-being is our top priority. Our already thorough cleaning procedures have been enhanced across campus – including RUSH/POA Kids, the Family Life Center and the POA Events Center.
Again, if you, your children, or any member of your household is ill, please stay home and watch our services online at poa.church.
Even if you are not officially diagnosed with COVID-19 (Corona Virus) or one of the regular flu viruses, please take care of yourself – and respect your church family – by staying home.
If you are unable to attend any of our gatherings due to sickness, please continue to honor the Lord in your giving by making your financial contributions online at
www.poa.church or by mailing your tithes and offerings to the church:

We cannot live in fear. God is – always has been and always will be – faithful. His Word is true. So, we will pray for the sick. We will look for opportunities to share the gospel with others. We find peace and rest in Him – the almighty, all powerful God of the universe who created us – formed us – and redeemed us.
“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob,
and he that formed thee, O Israel,
Fear not: for I have redeemed thee,
I have called thee by thy name;
thou art mine.”
(
Isaiah 43:1)
