I think that this might be an over assumption, but you might not be that far off. For something to happen at a district function does not exactly mean that the district or the officials endorse that thing. I was at IL camp years ago and saw some intersting stuff. A lady dancing in the spirit-there was no doubt she was in the spirit-but she was dancing like a ballet dancer. They did not endorse that, but allowed it to happen. I am against the magic hair thing, but I do there is power in faith. If one has faith that hair brings angels then angels may arrive and it not be due to the hair but due to the faith. I for a while when going to Applebees would not sit at the high-top tables close to the bar. Felt it was wrong for me. I really profitted from that. I do sit at them now, but at that time I didn't need that and it did bring me some extra things spiritually cause of the faith not because of physically not sitting there.

They (AL) took the pic and endorsed the action ... but the org published it boldly on their site.

Good post, Jtullock. I agree - it's faith.
IMO, no matter who agrees with what is going on in the UPC and no matter that the changes people want are not soon enough - there is a very high element of faith among the people. Therefore, God keeps moving in our midst.
Because He keeps moving the way He does with us, we are slow to agree to change some things. When you look around and see....well never mind.... I need a break from here for a while. Clashing and crashing....

Don't let this discourage you in your search. There is a definite place for you in the body of Christ. Keep praying and all the while guided by His Word and you will be led to the right place. There are true children of God out there and when you find them you will find a balance of spirit and truth.

This picture was taken at the Alabamas Ladies retreat. Sis Patty Twyman took down her hair to summon the power of the angels over the prayer requests. Many prayers were answered.

When I clicked on the link all I found was the picture. It didn't bring me to the UPC org site nor what was written with the pic. What happened? Do you have your facts straight?

They have their facts straight because I remember looking at it on the UPCI.org site when it was first posted in the other thread.
I can't get anything but the picture either. Might have to just go to UPCI.org and look for the photo contest.

You have way too much time on your hands. But it was funny.

I went to the UPCI site but can't figure out where the pictures are! Maybe it's been removed!
