I do see a difference in those two, BUT those aren't the two that I compared - those are saying the same thing and I KNOW you won't agree with that.

How can you say you see a difference but they are the same?

Not at all. There is no wrong. You are wanting him to word things differently for YOU. What he said wasn't wrong.
