This is sooooo true.....
Look forward to other youth getting Tattoo's too...
I gotta feelin' it will be happening soon...
Once a Pastor's kid (whether adult or not) gets a pat on the back and is accepted others are sure to follow suit...
as long as they love Jesus... it's okay...

How are these things handled? My mother got very hurt and angry when something like this would take place. When I left God, we didn't talk for three years. When I made things right with God, I approached her and we talked a long while and put everything under the blood. It was God's grace that we were able to bridge the gap. Although she shut me out...IF she had just said, "I tried, and I can't say anything to you because you are an adult now...," I would have lost any ounce of respect that I had for her beliefs. She stood strong and was able to allow God to use her to help me along...
Bottom line, hate the sin...love the sinner...don't compromise for or with the sin...do everything in your soul and intreat God's grace into your life so that you can balance that fine edge of love vs. sin without destroying your relationship...
(and BALANCE used here is not interchangeable with "failing to make a stand")
Tatooing has everything to do with spirituality no matter how "simple" one is tatooed. When someone changes God's creation, there is spiritual attatchments involved.

I simply do not agree with this...I am certainly not advocating tattoos...but to say that a tattoo has spiritual implications because it alters God's creation would have great implications in most everything we do.
So don't get a haircut...
So let your hair do it's "natural thing" and refrain from using hair spray and gel...
God's creation smells bad under the arms...so don't alter it with deodorant...
God's creation was meant to be so tall and so big...so don't gain too much weight and wear shoes with heels...
God's creation was meant to be a certain color so don't tan...
Don't cut your finger nails...
Don't wear eye glasses...
Don't put on a hearing aide...
I know these are extreme...but please show us where the bible declares that "altering God's creation" is a spiritual event when it is not done as a part of idol worship and withcraft. (understanding that if you are altering your apperance as a part of demon worship the spiritual implication is in the "why" and not in the "what".)

So don't get a haircut... Men are shamed to have long hair
So let your hair do it's "natural thing" and refrain from using hair spray and gel...Plausible, too much is vain, and yes, "too much" is subjective
God's creation smells bad under the arms...so don't alter it with deoterant...Plausible, same as above
God's creation was meant to be so tall and so big...so don't gain too much weight and wear shoes with heals...Weight = trouble, high heels - vain
God's creation was meant to be a certain color so don't tan...Plausible, same as make up
Don't cut your finger nails...Functionality
Don't wear eye glasses...Functionality
Don't put on a hearing aide...Functionality
I know these are extreme...but please show us where the bible declares that "altering God's creation" is a spiritual event when it is not done as a part of idol worship and withcraft.

Yes, indeed extreme...but,
A tattoo is a label, an identifier...an outward expression of inner thought and spirituallity...and doesn't the Bible say that beauty should be inward, not outward ( I Peter 3)?

In that case, all the dressing up for church should be frowned upon.

Again, vanity is subjective...okay, go naked... NOT!!!
Of course, for the obvious reason

Read 1 Peter in context...he is talking about women winning their husbands to Christ. He never condemns outward beauty, he simply tells them that outward beauty won thier husbands heart but it would be their inward beauty (specifically in how they treat their husbands) that would win their souls..in other words, "If you want your husband to believe your Christianity, then don't treat him like a jerk."
All of your 'red markings" made me smile. Your paradigm is very small and you still have not satisfied the issue. But I can't fault you for that seeing you are a product of what you have been taught.
A shirt is an identifier...so only wear white...
A car is an identifier...so only drive a VW bug...
On and on and on and on........

Exactly...an issue here is motivation...why do we do/wear what we do/wear?? Still, does not detract from the sin of getting a tatoo and all that is associated with a tatoo.
Paradigm - another buzzword for openmindedness...please don't insult my intelligence with your condescending tone. Anyone here who calls sin, sin is small minded, right??
