I got the Holy Ghost at Youth Camp - in short sleeves. I danced all over the front of the building, even though I didn't remember it afterwards. We also did all the fun stuff during the day. I LOVED youth camp and waited all year long anticipating the services there - and the fellowship!

Silliness!
I think they'd have better attendance if they advertised convention as dress casual.
Dumb thing is, we expect them to dress that way at summer camp as well.
It's 95-100 degrees in the summer, and we still expect our kids to wear suits, ties and dress shoes.
I don't get it.

I absolutely agree.

All this debate over what kids wear to camp and church functions. Some of us are probably thankful we have clothes at all.

Re: Do Your Kids Dress Like Bankers?
I went to a camp probably even more ultra-con than WholeHearted... It was fun, but now I'm 20, so I'm too old for camp and I'm not ultra-con anymore. Well, at least there's the memories.

Actually, the title of the thread could be "Do you let your kids dress like Robert Palmer?".

Re: Do Your Kids Dress Like Bankers?
I'm still a bit curious. Why are Whole Hearted's kids lining up their outfits and getting everything ready for "camp" when it's not even mid-April yet? What fellowship camp is the WH?
Having such an early date might mean some of the "bums" from the UPC could go, if they cleaned themselves up first of course.
