I have decided to follow Jesus supposedly is about the confessions of a pagan.
Who had a Welsh missionary (from the Welsh revival in the early 1900s) preach Jesus to him. The pagan was a headhunter in some jungle, and accepted Jesus, was baptized, himself and his family. Seems that the pagan headhunter king found out and had the tribesman neophyte with his newly converted family dragged before himself and the tribe. The pagan king asked the neophyte if he would recant his Jesus. The neophyte ex pagan said "I have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back! The pagan king started killing the neophyte's children. The pagan king then asked "will you recant this Jesus?" The neophyte replied "I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back!" The pagan king killed the neophyte's wife. In which the Neophyte replied "I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back!" then the pagan king killed the neophyte. This martyrdom caused many to follow Jesus.

I have watched many stop following Jesus and give a plethora of reasons.
I know whom I serve, and have had Jesus work in my life so much that I can't deny His work. At times, I feel like I live in the oven heated seven times hotter. But Jesus has never left me or forsaken me. I have had some whopper medical issues, financial issues, vehicle issues, (blown transmission) thought I had another vehicle but it turned into a pig in a poke. Still Jesus works everything out no matter what. I had chest tightness, my arm went numb with the left side of my face. Next thing I knew I was looking up at a stranger kneeling next to me in my driveway. Screaming at a dude in a car, that he thought I was dead, and to call an ambulance. I told them forget that, and I got up. Thanked them for stopping but I was going to be alright.
Some of the Church family came over and started to bombard heaven with me. I feel ok, and will keep following Jesus. I had nothing but a hard way to go growing up, and faced death, and disaster in my life. I went to an Apostolic Church and the place was flamethrowing hot, and people were alive with the power of the Holy Ghost. When I got baptized in Jesus name, in filled with the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues, life was never the same. Therefore I cannot see how that can be replaced with dancing naked around a tree, while some father time looking joker beats a drum. thank you Brother Esaias for that song, we have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back.

He is probably very happy in his drum circle? Working on getting another Celtic tattoo? Smudging sage in his bathroom? Hanging out at some coffee shop. While bothering some teenagers having a Bible study and minding their own business? I don't know, it looks like he really felt the need to come back to an Apostolic forum to self justify his choices.

Re: I ask you to accept me

I had forgotten all about this thread and really wish it had been left buried. Nothing edifying in ths situation / thread. A very sad situation. At the time I think many of us prayed a lot for this man. At the end of the day it is our free will that prevails and all of the prayer in the world won't change a person if they are intent on their path.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I wasn't here for this thread, and i read through it today and it sure is a sad thread. What a delusion, to go from the truth, and to be in present Wicca.

Where even though John "One Eyed Fat Man" his new misnomer, still sounded just like he sounded when he was a Christian. There were also plenty of people willing to be nicer than Jesus (typical Americana) and embrace him. Thinking that if you love bomb enough, people will eventually join your religion, church, ward, cult, club, coven, whatever. I posted then John began to try to convince everyone that he wasn't a Gerald Gardnerite. It was Gardner who coined the word Wicca in a book he had put together. Anyway, I just find reading these old threads very interesting. John, I still hope you get it together. Changing religion never works, the prime reason it doesn't is because you have to take you with you.
You must have had a different id in those days!
GNC was really good for a while.
My family had a lot of connections to JA's old pastor.

I don't remember what nick I used back then. GNC was pretty ban happy because of if you didn't fit under Brother Rutledge's criteria for Apostolic you got banned. Not that I have a problem with that, but others made sure they steered clear of GNC. Those Ecclesiastical Deplorables ended up coming over here since this place was a haven for Ex Apostolics. Given free reign to butcher and burn anyone who was Apostolic Pentecostal, One God, Pastor Respecting, Tithe Giving, Tongue Talking as Initial Evidence, Conservative.
