But you add that nothing disqualifies you from using the outline as it is. Another deviation since you said "I can't use it because the stories aren't mine."

I'm trying to get you to articulate your own ethics on the matter, or how you privately interpret plagiarism. Would you let the owner of the outline know you are going to reproduce it in spoken form (even if you keep the audience in the dark and lead them on that it's all you)?

Did you think I was lying with my last answer? Seriously? I answered that and everything honestly.

I personally wouldn't use the outline how I got regardless of where it was thrown together in 30 seconds, 30 minutes or 30 days. I would restructure it to flow with how I would do it. That is touches of me.

I may use the story, may not. I might find something I liked better. Regardless of whether or not the preacher ready the story "Hello!" I wouldn't use it until I actually read it on my own.

You were intending to try and trip me up or some nonsense. I would tell my friend if I were going to use it and change it. That is only because they are my friend and mostlikely would be hearing me preach it.

If you haven't drawn your own conclusion on my ethics by now I don't think I got anything that would help you now.

While on a legal level, I disagree with how Stetzer defines Plagariasm, I think his bottom-line heart issue point is solid, and even his caveat about intention. People who ignore the need to cite sources in writing, give credit in speeches, should search their heart and ask the real "why." Are they fearing others? Are they wanting to be seen a certain way? You're running into "maybes" when I'm trying to use a "for example" to see your ethics in action. I wasn't intending on tripping you up, I was intending on trying to understand how your theory fleshing out, where it breaks down (because you have some point of judgement that you will say "this is plagiarism and wrong" and since you haven't said it, by illustration, I was hoping to help you communicate that).

I agree. They are getting a little in a mess over this. I still want to see the evidence. That's a major accusation to publish on the internet without evidence IMO.

Actually been pretty straigh forward the whole way here.

I would tell my friend because he is my friend and he would be hearing me. Otherwise to me there is not reason to tell a person, because it is NOT (your favorite word) plagiarism!

I am not insecure at all. I could care less what people think...that is not me being ubsurd it is me being honest. I don't see this as a battle. I see this is as you have a opinion that you are trying very hard for me to see and I have an opinion that I don't care if you see or not.
