Some former UPC people I know don't want to look like the UPC people in their town because of bad reputation that church has.

The woman do not want to look like them because they do not want people to think they go to that church.

The women at CCC dress wear skirts, have long hair and look stylish...sooooo???? I'd hate my wife to be a liberal, war painted, jezebel-dressed women anywhere right now!!!!!!

I honestly don't know too many conservative Pentecostals that really look like the FLDS around here. There are conservative OP's here, but I wouldn't go so far to say they look like that. I think I agree somewhat with Rhoni...I'm a moderate...IN ALL THINGS! I'm more worried about being associated with the Amish around here...hehehehe

We just had one leave our house. My In-Laws came to town and stayed with us. They are UPC and are ultra conservative when it comes to outward appearance. Of course, I have a big screen in the front room and we were drinking coffee this morning and I had it on FoxNews and the FLDS case came across and I looked at those ladies, then I looked at my Mother-In-Law and she could have been in the middle of that crowd and there would have been no distinction between them.

Mark, I don't have time to read through this whole thread BUT

I kinda feel the same way!
I have talked to my wife about the same thing....

I told her to wear her hair DOWN! No buns! ESPECIALLY when we're out around town or whatever...

I told her that if she wants to do her fancy 'up' hair-dos at Church cool, but around town let it down!
