I heard through another news story that Walmart was going to be carrying a limited (isn't it always?) supply of $199 laptops.

IF that is the case, I plan on being there at 5 am.

I would scope out WalMart for Nov 10-12 sales.

Last year they introduced the 998 big screens that almost bankrupted many electronics stores (per WSJ article). IF there is a $199 laptop, they are gonna be available before BF.

I personally would not bother with a $199 laptop.

A $400 laptop normally retailing for $1200 is appealing.

Can you find me one of those? My 13 year old son has saved $500 and watns to get a laptop with it. I'd like him to get the best deal possible for his money, but need some help in order for that to happen - if anyone has any time I'll be eternally grateful. As will Keith.
