Numerology!

I brought up the same thing on the thread about "The Call". (My post is here)

It was mentioned that the date 7-07-07 was crucial to the event.

To me that borders on numerology. There was never much discussion about it though.

I don't believe in numerology as it is presented by New Agers. But I do believe that God always used numbers as symbols. I think they are important to Him; He used types and shadows all through the Bible, including numbers.

Could you share a few examples of these types and shadows?

Do any of them have to do with particular dates?

Father, Son, Holy Ghost

While reading your thread, I was struck with a sense of grief that so many people not rooted in truth would fall to the trickery of wolves that parade around in designer suits operating and looking like Jezebels. Normally, I would have refrained of using such harsh words in my posts, but this one struck a nerve.

When the first televangelist scandal broke with Jim and Tammy Faye Baker, my maternal grandmother (staunch COG) grieved as if she had lost a family member. She had invested so much of her money to financially prosper those that made a mockery of God and demonstrated no conscience while swindling her and thousands of funds that they could have used later in their lives.

This account is a good arguement of the need for men of God who uphold truth to be available on every type of media including television. Why would we allow the unchecked deception of such ministries as the Muncies when we could present the message of true salvation through Jesus our Lord?

1Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 4:1,2

Sadly, I see shades of that darkness gradually creeping in...though apparently undetected by leaders. If they are detected, they are not sounding the alarm.

I sounded the alarm here on this forum, received a strong rebuff from a couple, acknowledged by a couple of others. But by-in-large, it was ignored.

What will it take to wake us up?

Yes ma'am.... I was aware of all of those. You have demonstrated stretches of time etc...

I was hoping for some that would demonstrate the importance of the numerical sequence of particular dates.

But... I digress.
