Re: Impeachment Hearing
Well, after Pelosi's presser today I'm likely wrong on my previous post. It doesn't look like yesterday's embarrassment has caused any second-guessing or thoughts of stopping the inquiry. Originalist and PO are right -- they're too vested in it now to call it quits.
Agree with Steve, too. Of all the things to try to impeach Trump over and they choose this nothingburger of a phone call.

It is pretty telling when Nikki Haley talked about how John Kelley and Rex Tillerson disagreed with Trump moving the Embassy to Jerusalem, among other foreign policy issues.
They serve the President of the United States, whomever that may be. It is NOT their place to set foreign policy. That was the overwhelming take I got from Kent and Taylor yesterday. They just don't agree with Trump's foreign policy. That includes Mexico. WE DO need to secure our borders. Everyone else does.

Re: Impeachment Hearing
Another thing about this supposed whistleblower. Schiff says that he did not meet with him. So, if not, and he is the leader, that means that his staff are in charge of this impeachment hearing.

What they refuse to talk about is when Pelosi said, - “I'm not for impeachment without bipartisan support.”
The only bipartisan support they got was ‘against’ the impeachment hearing.

How does the House impeach a President? I thouggt that was a Senate prerogative?
Not that anybody cares about rule of law tgese days but...

Re: Impeachment Hearing
Impeach is to bring charges against the President, that is done by the House. Then if 2/3 of the Senate agrees, he is removed.
Clinton was impeached, but not removed.

Right, I am sure Esaias didn’t really need that explained to him.

Re: Impeachment Hearing
Pelosi may be using the impeachment to get Warren and Sanders off the campaign trail. They would be significantly tied up, 6 days a week for 6 to 8 weeks with the clown show. Seems like that would help Buttigieg and Biden.

Re: Impeachment Hearing
Trump tweets during the hearing, Schiff stops to read the tweet which adds to a witness tampering (intimidation) charge during this hearing,
He really makes a lot of his own trouble.
Of course, Democrat (he can deny that all he wants) Chris Wallace points out all the so-called strong points of the Dems arguments, managing to cover himself if it doesn’t quite turn out that way. Isn’t he experienced...
Wallace playing up the emotional testimony, saying you don’t have a pulse if you weren’t moved by it. Democrats are ALL about feelings.
Let’s see how Jordan takes her down a peg or two. I am understanding she has perjured herself today.
