Re: Sending your kids to public school?
I know a family who homes schools and also run a family business. They are 3rd generation Apostolics raising Godly kids who are assets to the Kingdom of God, preachers, teachers, music ministers. I'm talking people who lived for God all their lives, married chaste, and are raising amazing kids.

Re: Sending your kids to public school?
Sending my kids to public school would have freed time that would have possibly gotten me out of the of the 6 year career rut I've been in. Without having to worry about molding my part-time work schedule around transporting the kids to private school (we are a one car family living 30 minutes from civilization)I POSSIBLY could have found full time work by now, though most likely driving an hour or more one way to get to it. Ironically, it has been my sliding income that has qualified me for private school scholarships. But we can no longer live this way. Home schooling is in our future for sure.

Yes it is good for them, it is also good for the kingdom of God.
The family I was referring to, The Dad baptized me in Jesus name when I was a teenager, his wife homeschooled all their kids. Their son (Kevin) my son's best friend was a lifeline for keeping my son in church. When the youth group, including my son, decided to sneak out one night and get into trouble, Kevin refused to go. Today Kevin preaches the gospel and is in music ministry, his wife home schools their kids and they are securing the next generation for the service of God.
The greatest service we can render for the kingdom of God is raising kids who are steadfast in God's service.
