I figured Cruz would end up voting for the GOP Nominee, but I'm disappointed he gave a public endorsement. Especially after all the lies and slander from the GOP Nominee.

Still doesn't change my vote.

You have to pay attention to what Ted Cruz says and not what the headlines are saying. Interestingly, he didn't meet with Trump or Preibus, he met with Mike Pence who had formerly endorsed him.

Again, Cruz lined out the 6 major promises, along with others, that Donald Trump has made. Whether Mike Lee wants the SCOTUS position or not, he is Ted's choice. Trump took those positions from Cruz's campaign saying they were his. Now, if Trump doesn't hold to those promises, which we have already seen him flip-flop on every issue, this isn't going to hurt Ted. I am very sure he would rather deal with Trump than Hillary.

I'm not disappointed as he said that he and his family have forgiven Trump. That would be his father's instructions as a pastor.

It was a strategic move on Cruz's part, which has always been his way, to state he has kept his promise while lining out the promises that Trump is supposed to keep, as that is where they find their agreement. History will tell us the story as to whether or not Donald Trump keeps those promises listed in Ted's endorsement announcement.

Ted states that he has already spoken about the disagreements that he and Donald have had and he doesn't intend to spend the remaining time before a General Election when we have a binary choice to answer for everything that Trump has said or done.

"It was clear that I was not voting for Hillary. I couldn't give a credible, reasonable argument in defense of any of the other three running against Hilary or Donald. It's a reasonable question as to who I am voting for."

BTW, I remain with you on #NeverTrump. It was a bridge too far. In my state, we carry the Republican. It isn't necessary for me to vote at all.

So, in your mind, Ted Cruz never had any intention of actually obtaining the Republican nomination? So, why did he run, then? And by calling him an "actor", you seem to imply that someone else hired him to play the part. So, who hired him? Who was behind his run for the presidency?
