That's okay. Some people don't like to have to defend their position. They're too fragile to have their views and opinions challenged. Personally, I like having to defend my claims and posts. Iron sharpens iron. The weak can't handle it.

You are another mature poster. You are not constantly turning every post into something about yourself, flattering yourself or trying to get attention.

If comparison with Reagan is what Originalist is desperate for, let's compare how Reagan handled the 1976 contested convention to Trump's rhetoric to date. I don't remember Reagan threatening to split off and run as a 3rd party candidate. Nor did Reagan threaten riots if he didn't win.

Instead, Reagan allowed the rules and process to play out. And he even gave an impromptu address which didn't include whining about him losing.

We'll see how Trump compares. Thus far there is no comparison between he and Reagan.

Re: Reagan facing probable defeat

The only point I was making was that everyone had written him (Reagan) off at this point in his campaign. It would be unwise to write Trump off simply because he is trailing now.

I loathe Trump's personality. I do not think he is a fraud as some on here do. He just needs to get on with the campaign and forget all this silliness. You can't let people push your buttons. And yes, it is time to debate Ted.

On another note, did anyone hear Kasich say he would not accept the VP position, but that he'd be open to making a Democrat his running mate? The establishment is shoving it in our face with this guy. Unreal.
