It's just the truth. Steve Epley and friends couldn't answer then, they do the same thing on Facebook now, and it'll always be true. They come into the room declaring who all is going to hell, and when confronted with scriptural evidence to the contrary, they run. True then, true now.

Conservative or liberal... or somewhere in between - all need to understand that not everyone has to see everything the way you do... and those with a zero tolerance level for anyone with an opposing view have a small world to live in.

if they run, then i don't see the problem, wadr. should be a victory? i think CC pretty well nailed it, in that if there is no mutual respect, people feel disrespected, and don't return, possibly. i disagree with Steve at issues quite often myself, prolly the same ones you might; but i don't think it's fair to single anyone out here. Steve might drive me nuts sometimes, but i recognize that the issue lies within me, and it is my self respect that must be lacking.

This is what iron sharpens iron most likely means--at least i hope that's what it means. If AFF is a shell of its former self, then that is an ideal time to rebuild it. I may not appreciate the scoffing, or the name calling sometimes, but i see that people are hurting right now, and frustration comes out in funny ways. We are called to overlook things of that nature; and i note that if i answer in kind, it seems to be overlooked quickly enough.

i for one will take those i disagree with in here any day, as i have experienced the mutual admiration club that seems to be the alternative. I'm not sure what i missed, in the old AFF--if in fact i missed anything--but if it was so great, then why did people leave? A conservative/liberal divide suggests "politics" to me; which i detest--so i just try to stay away from the political threads.

Again, i suspect that one finds what they seek. And i even notice this in myself, that the frame of mind i come in here with can determine what thread i enter, and answer, etc. Great people come through here all the time, and have their say, and move on--that is the nature of a forum. If you want this place to be great, tomorrow, then come be great tomorrow, imo.

ok, and don't get me wrong; do you have a point? Yes, you have a point. But, does your post back there reflect something you might not see? I find that when i am most aggravated here, it is because my ego is not being stroked properly

First, it's been a LONG time since I've been here. Second, I've started a Facebook group/forum, that is an excellent place of dialogue and the exchange of thoughts and ideas, and to date, it's been 100% uncensored.

Third, I want to thank AFF because you've provided me with two of my excellent Admin staff, and that is, RGCraig and Timmy. Actually, there are a couple of others that are from here but I can't remember their ID's and don't want to reveal their real name, since ya'll like to play the secrecy game here.

Last, I'm not here looking for members. Ya'll are mostly WAY too conservative and you'd be offended by the language.

So why come here to promote your new group/forum?

Newcomers do not have our history. Some of us started posting on FCF it was very diverse but Pentecostal in some strain. We fussed about everything. It was pointed, heated,sometimes very hot but we developed friendships. Others as they made their journey away from Pentecostal views became very vicious attacking not arguing all we hold dear. So one by one most left.i have abstained for most part but I do like CC1 & Rhenda. So I journey back ever so often. The landscape changed so most of the time I am not interested I don't know most and really not to interested but when something does I will post. My thoughts. If you think I ran from a discussion you are delusional

Well, don't be surprised when they feel holier than thou also, then. Ones heart is revealed in their posts, i think. You have friends whose opinions you trust, surely. Have them read this thread.
