Re: "I believe in a strong presidency."
"What’s unusual about this — but completely in tune with what’s happened in Washington in recent years — is the contempt with which it treats the president,” Mann said.

This isn't unusual! Why do libs always complain that any negative thing against obama is either 1) racist or 2) unprecedented or unusual.
Pelosi actually defied the President and White House and flew to Damascus even though she was told not to go.
Can you imagine what would have been the reaction if a Republican did that to dear leader, obama? Libs delicate sensitivities have been offended over a stupid letter, and they have the audacity to whine about it when their own House Speaker openly defied the President.
Politics, politics. When Republicans do it, it's "unprecedented" and bad; when Democrats do it, it's bold and daring and good for America.

Re: "I believe in a strong presidency."
Pelosi was wrong when she did it and these 47 clowns are wrong for their actions.
If Pelosi had broken any laws, she should have been held accountable.
If these guys broke a law to do what they did, I hope they are held accountable.

Re: "I believe in a strong presidency."
Again, the letter was stupid and horribly written. They should have passed a Concurrent or Simple resolution. Had they done that, I know there would have been even a few Democrats who would have joined with the Republicans on it, depending on its language. There were a few Democrats on record as desiring Congress be consulted. What they've done now is just caused the Democrats to band together and pretend they have better ethics.
I refuse to hear the Democrats whine about the letter, when they've done as much and worse with a Republican President.

Re: "I believe in a strong presidency."
on that note, i think it is cogent to reply to the OP that whoever said that was either deluded or lying. "I believe in a strong presidency." Well, you say that--surely for posterity to hear you--but you do not act as if it were true. JFK was most likely the last democratically elected potus, and your office is complicit in covering up his assassination. You regularly sanction the assassinations of other democratically elected presidents, or refuse to investigate US connections to those assassinations. (proof below) So, tell it to the sheeple, wadr.

Take a breath, JD. No laws were broken with this letter. There was a better case against Pelosi, but W's Justice Dept didn't pursue it.

He was undermining national defense. He was aiding the enemy. These Senate Republicans did nothing but give the Iranians a lesson on American government. They did nothing to aid the enemy.
Did it undermine Obama's plan to weaken America? We can only hope so.

I don't think Obie can really weaken America. I do think the 47 undermined the President, but I also think that we should never make any deals with Iran. I hope their actions stopped any deal from happening.
Iran will never understand or agree with western views of peaceful cohabitation. All they know is destroy and ultimately, we will have to go to war with Iran and destroy their modern capabilities so that they cannot become a threat for another 100 years.

Re: "I believe in a strong presidency."
it is a given that we live wheat among tares; and i think undeniable that the government we once had is not the government we have today. Whether this is a temporary pendulum-swing of tare ascendancy that will moderate when the pendulum inevitably reverses course--which is to be hoped--or not, time will tell.
unfortunately at present i don't think it is too far from the mark to suspect anything said by anyone very high up in our government as being duplicitous on its face; with the speaker likely unaware of the duplicity.
We are talking about an administration that has pronounced the curse of Ezekiel upon us, quoting it verbatim from Scripture, as if it were to be praised.
