I think this series has really brought our church to a new level. We had awesome altar services each time; many recommitments and new people coming to the Lord too.

We also baptized two new adults Sunday. One Catholic girl and one guy who has just been a royal heathen, but God has totally turned his life around. So exciting to see the new ones come in!
Sherri,
My Dad John Eckstadt in 1976 preached a sermon of his at each stop of a Florida evangelistic tour.

My mom, younger brother and I heard the sermon maybe 15 times on a 5 week period.

It was just like what I do in sales the more I give the same presentation.

I add to it or change it. Then I can also change it as I go.

Since I have done it so many ways.

I pulled out the sermon the "The Sure Foundation" just a few weeks ago.

You know what I am going to preach it again in his memory sometime in 2007.

It was really cool to see a man's wife love and enjoy what her husband does.

Totally scriptural, totally right on!

I used to consider that a compromise, but what you are doing is explaining how the early church understood the Lord's command to baptize. You could say I baptize you in the name Of Jesus The Christ,Or I baptize you in the name Of Jesus Christ,The Mighty God or I baptize you in the name Of Jesus Christ as a rite of passage and I think these all would work.

There is one sermon I have preached nearly 30 times.

I have preached it in probably twenty different states, three different countries and two continents.

My poor wife has had to hear it most of those times, and bless her heart, she still shouts and backs me to the hilt every time.

It is an amazing woman who can live with you all week and expect to hear from God through you on Sunday.

I need to listen to some messages repeatedly until they finally get through my very thick skull.

Actually, twice. The third time was in another church, and the offering was being taken up for Eddie, so I felt stupid putting something in there.
