He said that the spirit of truth would return to us/them--that He is in us and has always been married to us--Jeremiah 3:14.

Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:5, "... Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Romans 8:9 tells us, "...Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."

Nothing there in any of those scriptures about Christ telling His disciples that He would return as the Holy Ghost to dwell in them.

He said that the spirit of truth would return to us---that we would be filled with love at the knowledge that God Himself was indwelling. That He is inside of us and has always been there--to hear our prayers, help, lead and guide our ways. He's ALWAYS been indwelling and a part of us.--Jeremiah
He Himself is the holy spirit of love with intelligence, wisdom, mercy, grace and the host of angels that follow.
To recieve Him is to recieve and understand the truth.
