Re: News From Morroco

I wonder. Your numbers sound a bit fuzzy to me WII. For one, are you counting the numerous women that are butchered in the name of 'familial honor'? That is done by Muslims. Are you counting the thousands that perished in the war between Iran and Iraq? Both countries are Muslim, and all who died are Muslim. Have you counted the thousands dead in the fighting in Syria, Egypt, Libya, and other nations during this time of violence? Have you counted the hundreds dead at the hands of the Taliban in Pakistan and Afghanistan? Did you fail to count the dead of the WTC approx. 3,000 people dead in a single day at the hands of Moslems? What about the conflict in Serbia, Kosovo, or those killed by Muslims in Russia. Did you count the terrorist strikes in Britain, Italy, and Spain?

Do your math! Islam has bathed in more blood than the Crusaders ever did. Not even the the RCC has spilled the amount of blood that Islam has over the centuries. Do not tell me that Islam is peaceful when they riot because of Christians standing on a corner with literature, or killing a helpless nun just because the Pope quoted a 'chrisitan' king who called Islam a bloody religion. These are facts, both simple and true. However, Islam hate truth because then it would be forced to confront the fact that it is the agressor in every war that it has ever waged.

They weren't my numbers Jay. They were from a list posted earlier by another member and they did include 9/11 and the attacks in Europe.

Islam hate truth because then it would be forced to confront the fact that it is the agressor in every war that it has ever waged.

OH Really? Please name the last war in which a Muslim country was the agressor against another country and in which that Muslim country started by firing the first shot.

Re: News From Morroco

Islam is a pan-national movement with various organizations actively campaigning to overthrow every non-Muslim government in the world, and many of these come straight from Egypt and Saudi Arabia. You want to know a list of the nations that Islamic nation have started fights with, Iran vs Iraq, Iraq vs Kuwait, Syria Civil War, Egyptian Revolution, Yom Kippur War (attacking Israel), Six Day War (attacking Israel), Isreali War for Independence (attacking Israel), Pakistani/Indian Cold War, attacks against Britain, France, Portugal, Spain, and the United States from the 1400s-1810, Iranian Revolution, and that is just the beginning. I could take you clear back to the Byzantine Empire that the Muslims conquored without reason. Moslems attempted to capture the whole of Europe, but were pushed out by Charles Martel, Ferdinand, and Isabella in the West, and the Austrian military in the East. The United States/Afghani war was precipitated by Muslim aggression, as was the United States/Iraqi war part II.

Re: News From Morroco

You are deluded. In 1997, LONG before 9/11 and before the Taliban were fully in power this article was published by the British Telegraph

[I]12/14/1997

Oil barons court Taliban in Texas By Caroline Lees

THE Taliban, Afghanistan's Islamic fundamentalist army, is about to sign a £2 billion contract with an American oil company to build a pipeline across the war-torn country.

The Islamic warriors appear to have been persuaded to close the deal, not through delicate negotiation but by old-fashioned Texan hospitality. Last week Unocal, the Houston-based company bidding to build the 876-mile pipeline from Turkmenistan to Pakistan, invited the Taliban to visit them in Texas. Dressed in traditional salwar khameez, Afghan waistcoats and loose, black turbans, the high-ranking delegation was given VIP treatment during the four-day stay.

The Taliban ministers and their advisers stayed in a five-star hotel and were chauffeured in a company minibus. Their only requests were to visit Houston's zoo, the Nasa space centre and Omaha's Super Target discount store to buy stockings, toothpaste, combs and soap. The Taliban, which controls two-thirds of Afghanistan and is still fighting for the last third, was also given an insight into how the other half lives.

Just after 9/11

US planned war in Afghanistan long before September 11

By Patrick Martin
20 November 2001

The Afghanistan pipeline route was pushed by the US-based Unocal oil company, which engaged in intensive negotiations with the Taliban regime. These talks, however, ended in disarray in 1998, as US relations with Afghanistan were inflamed by the bombing of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, for which Osama bin Laden was held responsible. In August 1998, the Clinton administration launched cruise missile attacks on alleged bin Laden training camps in eastern Afghanistan. The US government demanded that the Taliban hand over bin Laden and imposed economic sanctions. The pipeline talks languished.

Throughout 1999 the US pressure on Afghanistan increased. On February 3 of that year, Assistant Secretary of State Karl E. Inderfurth and State Department counterterrorism chief Michael Sheehan traveled to Islamabad, Pakistan, to meet the Taliban’s deputy foreign minister, Abdul Jalil. They warned him that the US would hold the government of Afghanistan responsible for any further terrorist acts by bin Laden.

According to a report in the Washington Post (October 3, 2001), the Clinton administration and Nawaz Sharif, then prime minister of Pakistan, agreed on a joint covert operation to kill Osama bin Laden in 1999. The US would supply satellite intelligence, air support and financing, while Pakistan supplied the Pushtun-speaking operatives who would penetrate southern Afghanistan and carry out the actual killing.

The Pakistani commando team was up and running and ready to strike by October 1999, the Post reported. One former official told the newspaper, “It was an enterprise. It was proceeding.” Clinton aides were delighted at the prospect of a successful assassination, with one declaring, “It was like Christmas.”

The attack was aborted on October 12, 1999, when Sharif was overthrown in a military coup by General Pervez Musharraf, who halted the proposed covert operation. The Clinton administration had to settle for a UN Security Council resolution that demanded the Taliban turn over bin Laden to “appropriate authorities,” but did not require he be handed over to the United States.

US subversion against the Taliban continued in 2000, according to an account published November 2 in the Wall Street Journal, written by Robert McFarlane, former national security adviser in the Reagan administration. McFarlane was hired by two wealthy Chicago commodity speculators, Joseph and James Ritchie, to assist them in recruiting and organizing anti-Taliban guerrillas among Afghan refugees in Pakistan. Their principal Afghan contact was Abdul Haq, the former mujahedin leader who was executed by the Taliban last month after an unsuccessful attempt to spark a revolt in his home province.

McFarlane held meetings with Abdul Haq and other former mujahedin in the course of the fall and winter of 2000. After the Bush administration took office, McFarlane parlayed his Republican connections into a series of meetings with State Department, Pentagon and even White House officials. All encouraged the preparation of an anti-Taliban military campaign.

During the summer, long before the United States launched airstrikes on the Taliban, James Ritchie traveled to Tajikistan with Abdul Haq and Peter Tomsen, who had been the US special envoy to the Afghan opposition during the first Bush administration. There they met with Ahmed Shah Massoud, the leader of the Northern Alliance, with the goal of coordinating their Pakistan-based attacks with the only military force still offering resistance to the Taliban.

Finally, according to McFarlane, Abdul Haq “decided in mid-August to go ahead and launch operations in Afghanistan. He returned to Peshawar, Pakistan, to make final preparations.” In other words, this phase of the anti-Taliban war was under way well before September 11.

While the Ritchies have been portrayed in the American media as freelance operators motivated by emotional ties to Afghanistan, a country they lived in briefly while their father worked as a civil engineer in the 1950s, at least one report suggests a link to the oil pipeline discussions with the Taliban. In 1998 James Ritchie visited Afghanistan to discuss with the Taliban a plan to sponsor small businesses there. He was accompanied by an official from Delta Oil of Saudi Arabia, which was seeking to build a gas pipeline across Afghanistan in partnership with an Argentine firm.

The Special Activities Division, Woodward reports, “consists of teams of about half a dozen men who do not wear military uniforms. The division has about 150 fighters, pilots and specialists, and is made up mostly of hardened veterans who have retired from the US military.

“For the last 18 months, the CIA has been working with tribes and warlords in southern Afghanistan, and the division’s units have helped create a significant new network in the region of the Taliban’s greatest strength.”

This means that the US spy agency was engaged in attacks against the Afghan regime—what under other circumstances the American government would call terrorism—from the spring of 2000, more than a year before the suicide hijackings that destroyed the World Trade Center and damaged the Pentagon.

In the immediate aftermath of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, two reports appeared in the British media indicating that the US government had threatened military action against Afghanistan several months before September 11.

The BBC’s George Arney reported September 18 that American officials had told former Pakistani Foreign Secretary Niaz Naik in mid-July of plans for military action against the Taliban regime:

“Mr. Naik said US officials told him of the plan at a UN-sponsored international contact group on Afghanistan which took place in Berlin.

“Mr. Naik told the BBC that at the meeting the US representatives told him that unless Bin Laden was handed over swiftly America would take military action to kill or capture both Bin Laden and the Taliban leader, Mullah Omar.

“The wider objective, according to Mr. Naik, would be to topple the Taliban regime and install a transitional government of moderate Afghans in its place—possibly under the leadership of the former Afghan King Zahir Shah.

“Mr. Naik was told that Washington would launch its operation from bases in Tajikistan, where American advisers were already in place.

“He was told that Uzbekistan would also participate in the operation and that 17,000 Russian troops were on standby.

“Mr. Naik was told that if the military action went ahead it would take place before the snows started falling in Afghanistan, by the middle of October at the latest.”

The war in Afghanistan was planned well before 9/11 and was started over who controls the country and who will allow extraction of oil and development of an oil pipeline. Wars over oil and pipelines have nothing to do with "spreading religion"

Iran and Iraq are Muslim countries, Kuwait is Muslim, Syria is Muslim, Egypt is Muslim.

Iran is the center of Shia Islam, Iraq is majority Shia ruled by minority Sunnis. This majority is supported by Iran. Kuwait is Shia and allied with Iran and also supported the majority Shias in Iraq. The wars in that region were about WHO WOULD RULE IRAQ and like the war in Afghanistan, were about money and power.

Iran IS probably delighted that they were able to start a war between Iraq and Kuwait and use us as a stick to beat the Sunnis in Iraq into submission, allowing them to insert Shia governments all the way from their eastern border to the border of Saudi Arabia. Now they are working on destabilizing Bahrain and Yemen - two other oil-rich nations who are majority Shia.

Wars over money and power and oil have nothing to do with the spread of religion.

Re: News From Morroco

As to Israel:

Rachel Aliene Corrie (April 10, 1979 – March 16, 2003) was an American peace activist and member of International Solidarity Movement (ISM)[2] from Olympia, Washington, who was crushed to death by an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) armored bulldozer in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

She had come to Gaza during the height of the second Palestinian intifada as part of her senior-year college assignment to connect her home town with Rafah in a sister cities project. While there she had engaged with other ISM activists in efforts to non-violently prevent the Israeli army's demolition of the homes of Palestinian people.

Less than two months after her arrival,[5] on March 16, 2003, Corrie was killed after a three-hour confrontation between two bulldozers and eight ISM activists.[3][8] Wearing a bright orange fluorescent jacket and, until shortly before her death, using a megaphone, she was killed while standing in the path of a bulldozer that she believed was about to demolish the house of local pharmacist Samir Nasralla's family whom she had befriended.[9] She was run over twice by the bulldozer resulting in a fractured skull, shattered ribs and punctured lungs.

Israel is systematically rounding up families and bulldozing their homes and even killing outside activists in order to create room for expansion. Their "terrorist incidents" always occur well within Palestanian territory. I have no interest unless they do it to Americans which ticks me off.

Israeli forces have been holding a Palestinian-American teenager in a military lockup for nearly a week after bursting into his family home and arresting him in an overnight raid for allegedly hurling rocks at Israeli motorists in the West Bank, his father said on Thursday.

The case highlights Israel's system of military detention for Palestinian minors, which has been frequently criticized, most recently by the UN which said in March that an in-depth study showed it systematically and gravely violated their rights.

The Isreali motorists were military and they were in Palestanian territory well outside of the Israeli borders.

People who defend their homes and properties from invaders are not spreading religion nor are they acting as aggressors on the property of others

Yo dog. Feeling as you do about Israel, it must really tick you off, that they are the apple of God's eye.

The apple of God's eye continually turns away from Him resulting in periodic lessons from Him, which, sadly, have not quite and at this time taken. There is nothing to fear after all from an arrogant and godless people. This applies to you as well as a matter of fact.

For myself only: Other than being wise and learning from the mistakes of others as opposed to being just smart by learning from my own mistakes I must say I have no regard for or against Isreal or Isrealis - except when in their haste to round up people and put them in concentration camps they kill the random American it does tick me off since they are living off of my tax dollars to do it.

For you: It should be quietly noted that Israelis hate non-Israelis and certainly hate Jesus and christianity a lot more than you hate Muslims. Perhaps you should study Jewish law for yourself LOL to get a sense of where you stand with them. LOL

Some random examples:

"The Jews are called human beings, but the non-Jews are not humans. They are beasts."
Talmud: Baba mezia, 114b

LOL - yo dog speaking of dogs:

"The Akum (non-Jew) is like a dog. Yes, the scripture teaches to honour the the dog more than the non-Jew."
Ereget Raschi Erod. 22 30

"If you eat with a Gentile, it is the same as eating with a dog."
Tosapoth, Jebamoth 94b

"A pregnant non-Jew is no better than a pregnant animal."
Coschen hamischpat 405

"It is permitted to take the body and the life of a Gentile."
Sepher ikkarim III c 25

"A heretic Gentile you may kill outright with your own hands."
Talmud, Abodah Zara, 4b

"Every Jew, who spills the blood of the godless (non-Jews), is doing the same as making a sacrifice to God."
Talmud: Bammidber raba c 21 & Jalkut 772

Moed Kattan 17a . If a Jew is tempted to do evil he should go to a city where he is not known and do the evil there.

Sanhedrin 57a . A Jew need not pay a gentile ("Cuthean") the wages owed him for work.

"Although the non-Jew has the same body structure as the Jew, they compare with the Jew like a monkey to a human."
Schene luchoth haberith, p. 250 b

Yo dog - they also say some really cool stuff about Jesus and Mary:

Sanhedrin 106a . "She who was the descendant of princes and governors played the harlot with carpenters."

footnote #2 to Shabbath 104b of the Soncino edition, it is stated that in the "uncensored" text of the Talmud it is written that Jesus mother, "Miriam the hairdresser," had sex with many men.

Gittin 57a. Says Jesus is being boiled in "hot excrement."

Sanhedrin 43a. "On the eve of the Passover, Yeshu (Jesus) was hanged...Do you suppose that he was one for whom a defense could be made? Was he not a Mesith (enticer)?"

Shabbath 116a. Jews must destroy the books of the Christians

Apple of God's eye? Surely you jest.

Jesus is specifically listed as a Prophet and Messenger of God in the Quran
