Many times Bowling is a fun night out for all.
I don't think the actualy "bowling" itself is the sin...the atmosphere at nights are too much for me, even. That is why we used to go at nights....now if it was alcohol free and smoke free, I'd be there!!!!!!!

I lost five straight games of pool to my 15 year old newphew on my new pool table. Does that count as big a sin as bowling? (there is no alcohol served in the venue the pool table was at)

I went bowling Sat for the first time in about 10 years. It was fun, but I'm hurting today. For me to be our church school's PE teacher I must be in pitiful shape. I guess bowling works muscles you aren't used to working.
As far as being a sin. I went with some friends and one of my friend's wife's maiden name was pentecost so I think i'm ok.

In Canada there is no smoking, no alcohol, no drinking of any acoholic beverages
allowed in bowling alleys.
We also have separate bowling alleys for five and ten pin lanes.
Same rules apply to both lanes.

lol! It was pounded into us that pool was a sin.....We recently went to a hotel that a had a pool table and it was sort of "wrong"..I know that I was fine and my boys had a fun time....That is where my ultra conservative self would be considered a liberal by many friends...lol

I had some friends come home from Bible College with me one time and one of the guys wouldn't walk downstairs into our basement because we had a pool table down there. I was shocked; I had never heard it preached against in Illinois. (Of course there were lots of things I'd never heard preached against until I went to the South).
