Sister A, I am curious as to why you are post trib.
I was always taught pre-trib, but after reading and meditating on the various scriptures I was taught on the subject, I am leaning towards post trib. My husband and I do not agree on this subject, but one day we are going to sit down and have a study on it and I would like other people's thoughts.

Well, you didn't ask me, and surely know my thoughts there, but let me state that I think that all that yack is just a satanic trap. What you believe can interfere with your faith, imo. How does your post-tribbitude change...anything? It might lead you to provide an explanation based on it, which will amount to a further obfuscation, yes? I have no idea whether I am pre or post, an don't particularly care to find out. My common sense tells me that all those events are going to occur completely differently than our imaginations have colored them, anyway. Hi, AYR!
IMO America has very little to do with end times prophecy and only Americans can't see that. Hopefully many in the church in America are saved.
If the Lord's return is in the next 50 years, I can't see how America plays no role in God's plan for the end. We are for now the worlds largest economy, far and above all the others. We have the strongest military. The church worldwide is primarily funded by the North American church. We are the most faithful and loyal supporter of Israel. Too many prophecies concerning economics, geopolitics, religion and the church, and Israel...it's unfathomable to think America plays no role.

For me the most convincing passage is Matthew 24. Jesus outlines the signs of the end chronologically. Notice the words "then" or "immediately after" throughout the chapter. He's walking us through one set of fulfillments after another. It is only AFTER "great tribulation" has come that the sign of the Son of Man appears, trumpets sound, the elect are gathered together (rapture). Matthew 24 is the Rosetta Stone of Biblical prophecy. IMO

I couldn't find the right place to put this thread so I'm sorry. I just want to know if any others are getting these types of prophecies.
My friend attends a different apostolic non-denominational church than I do. When I went there a few years ago, it was once prophecied as thus saith the Lord that time was short. My friend told me that Sunday another prophecy went out, "Thus saith the Lord, it's just around the corner." I do not doubt this man as a prophet because he has the closest walk with God of anyone I've ever known, and his prophecies have always been fulfilled.
Now...in my own church we've not had any prophecies but about every few weeks we get a sermon that in some way touches on Jesus' return. There seems to be an urgency in the air if that makes sense. More so in the last few months.
Is anyone else feeling this?
I love Jesus.
I am committed to the One God Apostolic Message.
I believe in a pretribulation rapture of the church (I think).
BUT I have been hearing these things since I was a kid in the 1970's "Soon" as interpreted by some of my fellow apostolics is vastly different from my own view.
ie. its February. Christmas is not SOON.
I believe in the "soon" return of Christ but I believe "soon" in that case is on HIS TIME and that means it could be before I finish this post, or it could be in a thousand years.
May the Sweet Clean Lord Jesus HIMSELF bless ya real good!

I am little when prophecy are given in old english such as "thus saith. the lord"
Your a little what? The "thus saith" stuff is only the prophesiers personality coming through. My concern would be their character and spirit in which they deliver. Ive had prophetic words delivered to me many, many times and ministered in about as many ways too, all of which the ministers personality came through to some degree. Im cool with that because the spirit in which it was done.
