I'm trying to draw a parallel. You can call someone exactly what it seems they're like, it doesn't make it an acceptable thing to do in society. Being rude is rude, regardless of the situation. Would you call a soldier a murderer? At the end of the day, he's a taker of life. But it's not socially acceptable to call a soldier a murderer, no matter how you feel. The day we break down to calling every person exactly what we think they are, is the day we aren't seperate from the animals.

oH..OK i SEE. You just didn't like that Rush's comment lacked candor. Ok.

So if he had used happy nice words to talk about this woman who feels it is yours and my responsibility to pay for her promiscuity then you wouldn't be offended.

See for me it is the idea that I should have to pay for her contraceptives that is offensive, not the word "slut".

I don't agree of it either. That's not going to make me condone someone calling her a slut or a prostitute. Something tells me Jesus didn't go around calling people words like that. And I'm Christian before anything else.

Slut - "a dirty, untidy, or slovenly woman."
Whore - a woman who engages in promiscuous sexual intercourse, usually for money; prostitute; harlot; strumpet.
Prostitute - a woman (or man) who engages in sexual intercourse for money; whore; harlot.

I think the appropriate term for this lady is "Harlot". It covers the basis of what she is.

Just like Rush said though, he addresses absurdity with absurdity. So wither or not that Ms. Fluke is a slut/prostitute is not the case, it is about the situation that she is bringing up.

You want someone else to provide the money so that you can have sex. That is either a Whore or a Prostitute.

I do agree that contraception (hormone pills) are used for treatment of other female specific issues, and should be covered under a health care coverage. But, it comes down to the fact that these women KNOWINGLY work for (or attend) an organization that does not support birth control.
