Re: Governor Rick Perry

We had a lady visiting her daughter this past weekend from Indiana. She worshipped right
along with us. I had no idea what persuasion she was. I asked her. She is Methodist. She
said the church she attends in Indiana has three services on Sunday. A traditional early
service, then a contemporary service and then a super contemporary service where they
worship with gusto.
My late grandmother was a member of the Methodist church for 21 yrs. Her mother was a
charter member of their church for 48 yrs. Both came to the Apostolic Pentecostal faith in
the 1930's. Grandma was a Bible reading, praying Methodist. God sees the hearts of those
who are hungrying and thirsting after righteousness and HE will gladly fill them.

Re: Governor Rick Perry

Thank God for the Methodist. My grandmother who was born in 1865 was a Methodist...the old time, shouting kind. They didn't know what speaking in tongues meant except that many of them got the "goose jabbers."

The preaching of John Wesley's holiness messages prepared them to receive the work of God as seen in such meetings as Azusa Street...and even before that. It is as the scriptures state, "...without holiness it is impossible to see God." For the first time, they rejected the damnable, perverted grace doctrine of the Reformers such as Calvanism and OSAS which has never been acceptable to God. After hearts were prepared by holiness preaching, "...I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple..."

We shall see. I applaud him using the name of JESUS v/s some generic God. However, I remember Democratic candidates doing the same thing. Yup, and I KNOW how much you all LOVE Democrats

Interesting indeed. I pray that prayer for he and his family. Many love him, many hate him.
