Traveling to get funds for a year is the most ludicrous thing about the FMD. Absolutely ludicrous.

Ah, yes ... it would seem the Home missionaries face some of the same challenges as any of these other missionaries.

Furlough just gets under my skin for the Internationals - - they give them a break, but they have to spend the time traveling to raise money.
Because then the 15% cut wouldn't come out of the offerings sent to the churches.

Opps, we have a winner.

I was appalled to find out that if I, as a cousin to a missionary, wanted to give a monetary gift that amount would have to be reported and deducted from their monthly support.
