I didn't know he was ceasing to be a BigDaddy. That is good news and something I am working on myself.

Re: AFF, Four Years Later...

Although we may not all agree, as long as we respect and allow others
the right and liberty to speak, AFF may continue on!
How can we have
an intelligent conversation with others of different faiths, unless we interact
with them and listen to what they believe and why. However we had better
know what we believe and why!

One Wed. night, several years ago, a couple of JW came and knocked on
our door. I told them we were about to leave for Bible Study. They asked a
question and I answered with a scripture verse. One of them said, "That's
not in there". I said, It is in there and gave the place where it could be
found. I invited them to accompany my husband and I to Bible Study."I believe
you would find it interesting"! The looked at each other and grinned, rolling
their eyes, and one of them said, "I'm sure we would". I asked if they had
ever visited a Pentecostal church. Neither had. I told them the way they
had reacted to my invitation to church, that they reacted much like most
people who had NEVER been to a Pentecostal church. They have just heard
all those "stories", but never had actually been to find out if it was true. I
don't think they ever came to church, but there was a couple of young men
from the JW's that did come to Bible study more than once, and said they
enjoyed it.

How many Pentecostals can tell you all the things that are wrong with other
groups beliefs, but have never visited their groups. Or interacted with those
from those groups. Many cannot tell you what other groups believe. We can
read and learn what they teach. We can educate ourselves!

Unless you have been on AFF, how can one really discuss what they are all
about.
I can learn something from most anyone, if I am willing to take the time
to listen. If we are rooted and grounded in the Word, we need not fear parti-
cipating in discussions. If all we can do is argue, we might considering not getting
involved.

Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life. Faith cometh by hearing and
hearing by the Word of GOD. Some have been taught how to handle the Word
of God skillfully. Others have been taught how to argue.
No offense intended.
The Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword,
even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. Cuts going in and cuts coming out.
