Pants aren't a gender distinction in American culture, but I guess that's beside the point.
Women who wear pants may go bi. Women who don't wear pants may go bi. Women who wear skirts may go bi. Women may go bi. Therefore we conclude it's against the Bible for people to be women, because women may go bi.

California did not pass a law allowing women to wear pants. They passed a law forbidding employers from FORBIDDING wearing pants.
(a)It shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employer to refuse to permit an employee to wear pants on account of the sex of the employee. California Code - Section 12947.5
That is so far from what he claimed he should be charged with criminal stupidity.

I think this kind of baloney is what led me away from the whole gungho standards position...the constant NEED to seek other sources to validate a doctrine and pretty crazy ones and sometimes outright false ones

Dresses and skirts are a gender distinction. Pants WERE (past tense) a gender distinction

I can't believe someone could read that law and make such a crazy claim. To do that you have to either be a liar or stupid.

The agenda is the priority. Fact-finding is not what these folks are interested in.

They have to keep up the house of cards, because despite their accusations at others, it is they who "can't preach their way out of a wet paper sack" with such a lack of scriptural knowledge-they HAVE TO keep the standards up. In any other "church/org" alot of these folks would be sat down and told to go to seminary before they would get to preach again.
Under the current system, they set themselves up as experts, being the keepers of the "secret decoder ring".
