Not sure who elected you as the Great English Teacher of AFF. I find it quite rude actually.

I knew you didn't read the whole thing... not seeing where he's going and the fact is, you just don't "get it." That's his SAL schtick.

Rude to express an opinion that it was not well written? Wow, well aren't you the sensitive one.

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Wow. I don't know who you are, Jeffrey, or who the guy from SAL is, but you obviously like him a lot.

I've read Stuff Christians Like almost since it started in 2008 and this dude seems to be trying to copy Jonathan Acuff's style (but I doubt Zondervan is calling the writer of SAL about a book deal).

Yes, rude. The post was asking what people thought of his thoughts. You read a paragraph and decide to posture yourself as the Grand Poobah of English and proceed to criticize what you see as a writing handicap.

He is not coy about copying it. It inspired his whole blog. That's no secret. It's in the About information on the blog. Considering this writers audience is that sub-group called Oneness Apostolic Pentecostals your assumption about Zondervan contracts is probably fair.

As far as liking him. What I know about him I do like. He's a bookworm. I can tell, in his own way, he's sorting through everything. I'm not trying to herald this blogpost and pitch it for book deals... i was hoping for discussion on the topic!!! Imagine that!

lol... you must be the author. You're so defensive. Ok the thought police have prevailed. I take it back. I was well written. The man must be a genius. It was eloquent enough for the Grand Poobahs of English yet inarticulate enough for the novices. Hip Hip Hurrah!

Riley proves again why he is the most influential twenty-something in Pentecost.

Your feelings are hurt because we don't care what other blogs blog about?

I really don't understand what the blog is about or how it applies to real apostolics. It sounds like more anti-apostolic jibberish. can someone explain in plain english what the blog is about?

So you are also exploding with ambivalence.
