(Oh, and if you have my phobia, get over it and get your dental work done, because you don't want to wait years and then find out you need four crowns and a filling. It's not just the pain of the work but also the pain in your wallet!)

Wow, that would enhance the experience.

In the past few years I've visited dentists with some attempts to distract you.

A lady dentist giving me my first root canal had headphones and you selected music you liked to lay back and relax. (when you tend to be sleep deprived.........you fall asleep)

More than one dentist has a tv mounted on the wall; one had a huge selection of movies and you could request a favorite.

Compared to the horrid chairs of the 50's and 60's the new "chaise lounge chairs" are an improvement.

And only a few of my many dental procedures involved dental insurance
