Re: Texas Senater Apoliges to BP!!

I heard on the news this morning that Joe Barton was forced to apologize for his apology to BP.

So that means there wasnt a shakedown. it was in their plan. Second, as bad as Obama is handling this (and it is aweful) there is no question that BP is on the hook for every dime and they have been dragging their feet in paying claims.

Barton not only was factually wrong but he also put republicans on defense on an issue where republicans have been WINNING on offense!

It was beyond stupid. it was myopic and it leaves swing voters thinking Republicans are in the hip pockets of this think called "big oil"

It was moronic. I would like to see his mamma bend him over her knee and spank his rear end for saying it!
I agree they should pay for all damages.

But whose idea was it for athe escrow of 20 billion?

You are right in one aspect and that is the republican party has been accused before of being in the pocket of big oil.

accused????
You sound like the two lobbyist being interviewed last week. They kept calling the disaster in the gulf a mistake. It was no mistake it was greed.

Isn't it strange Dick Cheney is no where to be found for the last 60 or so days. Quite as a church mouse.
He must be with his lawyers preparing for the criminal charges that may be brought against him and BP

You really are unhinged here "Lite." Dick Cheney had absolutely nothing to do with this spill. And... the Halliburton people who were involved on the drill site don't appear to be responsible either.

From the tapes released so far, it appears that some BP guys were arguing with the contractors about how to proceed at a critical juncture. At that point the BP engineers lowered the boom (so to speak) and got their way overriding the recommendations of the contractors. This was in the hours just before the whole rig went "BOOM!"

Dick Cheney hasn't been at Halliburton for more than a decade anyway. You're just looney, Bro.

Re: Texas Senater Apoliges to BP!!

And the Halliburton people told them not to do what they were doing (taking short cuts to save money) Interesting to see the safety records of the other oil companies in comparison, i think one company had something like 2 accidents and the other one exxon had one. BP has had many many.It was predictable.Has anyone seen light and that paranormal radio late night guy in the same room together ? I think they might be one and the same. whooooo ooo

Maybe he's thinking that the restrictions "the Left" has placed on off shore drilling over the years has forced the oil wells into deeper and deeper water?

BHO's admin actually endorsed a limited expansion of offshore drilling - a move that might have put the Deepwater Horizon (RIP) into shallower and presumably safer waters.
