That's not being sincere. It's being a politician and lying ... but it's not being real, sincere, genuine, etc.

Ouch! I remember the admin blasted Scott Brown for stating the gov't hasn't created one job in Mass. I wonder what the reaction or response will be - if any - from the admin.

Bayh has sure been talking trash since his retirement announcement. Must feel good to get those feelings off his chest.

I do wonder if he'll, or any Democrat, will try to challenge BHO in 2012.

I read something about this... hmmm. while popular in IN, I am not sure he has the personality to win.

I worked for his opponent (Rob Bowen) in 86 when he first ran for office on State level. In 86 it was the race of the two favorite sons... He was the son of Birch Bayh, IN former Senator... and Rob Bowen was former IN Gov son... Bayh was good lookin, and Rob was not so good lookin' lol Evan Bayh won. All of our other candidates on the (R) ticket won... so I got to still go to the State house to work.

WHAT!!!!?????

The dems controlled it all, they didn't need any bipartisan support.

They wanted it.

Bipartisanship is good for the country.

The GOP, except for a few folks, were unwilling to present viable options and simply serve now as opposition to any and everything Democrat sponsored.

Everything except the current job creation plan-- one of the only bipartisan bills in Congress. However, Reid has shrank the bill from 85 billion to 15 billion.

Of course, the GOP is criticizing the move. However, I am sure they would have criticized it as ineffective use of 85 billion in a year or so anyway, but this is conjecture-- mere prejudice based on the actions of the GOP for their first year in dealing with our Democrat President and anything that wears his fingerprint.

I don't see a massive sweeping of the house like some are wishing for.

I do wish they would lead!

Really, there was no reason for Obama and the Dems to handle Healthcare Reform the way they did. They had the upperhand and played their cards very, very poorly.

The GOP, on the other hand, was everything except for civil during the early stages of that process.

It had nothing to do with how it was handled. It was a VERY very poor bill period!

And 85 billion not taxed will have an order of magnitude more effect on our economy then 85 billion spent. Just IMAGINE what a tax cut of 800+ billion would have had! And "tax cut" does NOT mean 101 different tax credits for behaving in various ways, but a real reduction in the percentage that income is taxed.
