I saw G-Force the hamster movie with 3d a few months ago, its pretty cool and they fit over regular glasses if you wear them like I do

Re: Avatar

And the thing is, any prior use of 3D has been mediocre in comparison. There are times that you feel completely immersed in the environment.

Re: Avatar

It has good reviews but not my style of movie.

My son (not the best money manager) recently looked for a part time job to help pay bills. He found one at a local theater. Now I can know in advance if it's worth my time.

He has a fulltime job (same company 8 yrs) so-------now he can pay his bills and not have time to accumulate more.

Unbelievable.

James Cameron isn't much known for his dialog or characters, but the technical achievements and attention to detail made that barely noticeable, and the 3D characters really came to life. He certainly raised the bar with this one.

3 hour movie. I went by myself and was barely able to get ONE seat 30 minutes before the thing started.
Oh, that. I thought you were announcing your new avatar (small "a"). Which is awesome, BTW. Lots better than your old one!

Did anyone see it? I saw it last night. Wow! What they can do with CG now adays.

The actors are real though. They aren't just doing voice overs to "cartoons". They did the entire acting wearing body suits with sensers, while doing the dialog, stunts and facial movements. The mouth moving on the characters? That was really the actors.

What really impressed me was the entire planet. The Trees, grass, leaves falling etc etc..all CG

Oh and it was done in 3D
