My husband has a number of hunting guns and he also has a pistol, some for fun and some for when he is walking in the woods. He met up with a bobcat once that didn't seem to like him too well.

I'm speaking about protection against people.

I don't carry a gun and don't want to. If I lived in a dangerous area, would I? Maybe.

Funny, I just bought my first handgun this weekend at the ripe old age of 27.

A glock C17 that holds 18 rounds should keep the bad guys away!

I have carried a gun before and would have used it if necessary.

I don't carry right now, but if I move to the country again, I would start carrying again.

I don't see it as power, but a responsibility!

We had a man hiking about 40 miles from where I live who was attacked by a Mountain Lion. The man thankfully is 79, and was in good health.

I wouldn't know anything much about guns...as a whole they are dangerous but can be used for protection, hunting and things like that.
Brother Alvear and I do not own a gun...only an angel.

We should protect our families from harm. If having a gun helps do that, then by all means, get one.
