Me too and got a return that really surprised me since I didn't have interest from my home for the first time.

I still have a child in college, so I have a deduction for a bit longer.

Have you already done your 2006 Federal income tax return or have you waited until the last minute?

Years that I know I will owe I wait until the last minute while typically years that I know I will get a refund I file as soon as I get my W2 forms.

I foolishly waited until the last minute this year even though I was pretty sure I was going to get a refund. I had been waiting on a piece of financial information then when got it procrastinated the next two months, LOL!!!

Do you usually usually get a refund or owe money?

Until my wifes health forced her to quit working part time she used to make just enough money to put us in a situation of owing anywhere from $1000 to $1500 bucks each year it seemed. Tax time used to be depressing then!
My husband just finished ours this morning...I was surprised...we're getting a little bit back...which will be used to pay the state of Oklahoma...we always pay in more to the state than to federal!

Which two are those? I want to move there!!!

I had a nice surprise today. Went to our online banking page to pay bills and balance my checkbook. It said I had alot more money in my account than I thought I did. When I got to looking, I discovered that the feds had just deposited our refund into our account. They'd done that on the 13th! guess I should check my banking account more often, eh!
