The Patriot Act does away with the 4th amendment protection whenever they deem it necessary to do so.
They also do away with trial by jury of your peers.
They can also hold you indefinitely without charging you with anything.
They can raid your house... look at your personal effects and leave just for "sneak & peek" purposes without a warrant.
They can take you and hold you without charges or warrant and not let your family know that they have you or where you have been taken.
You can be taken and held without charges or warrant and you do not have the right to an attorney.
They can come and look at your bank records and what is in your bank deposit box and if your banker lets you know that they have done so he will be imprisoned for doing so.
And the list goes on and on and on.

Re: US becoming a police state???
So a police state and socialism? Why did all of our fathers and grandfathers and great-grandfathers fight in WWII and the Korean War?
I often think it's a good thing many of these old folks have passed on.
What legacy do we pass on?
Even the "church" is politics today........

Many of those statements are really over stated. Care to give some citations from the patriot act for some of those assertions?
I have to step out of the office for the afternoon and I will be in a hearing all morning tomorrow but I look forward to seeing your evidence.

wow, seems like this should be a great time for people to put their trust in God!
The good news is that even if we end up in prison for 13-17 years we can be confident that his purposes are being worked for the salvation of our brethren.

Baron, I know your post is TIC, but I will tell you that I rarely, if ever use a credit or debit card.
I pay cash for everything I possibly can.
