all this from Timmy - one of the finest perverts of the gospel I know.
I'm teasing... or am I????
Whoa....are you calling Timmy a pervert?

Not exactly free (with Time Warner Austin, it's part of a $3.45/mo "Movie Pak"), but it'll be on Sundance Channel, this Fall. But Phelps was hardly the primary rep. Some clips of protests. No interview, if I recall. (And I think I'd recall a Phelps interview!)
You'd really enjoy Ken Ham, though, Pel!
Hmm. I need to see it again. Now I think about it, there may have been a short clip or two of Phelps.

IMDB has Phelps listed second in the "cast." It might have been "By Order of Appearance" but I didn't see that noted.
Ken Ham? - a movie star like Kevin Bacon?
Oh, that Ken Ham. You know my thoughts on the matter... that's why you tease me.
Sundance is a freebie on our system. That's where I see all of the Foxfire type docos so Maher's piece probably makes sense there.
Bill Maher should be bought for what he's worth and sold for what he thinks he's worth.
But ... Timmy is another story! I admire the wit and intelligence that comes shining through in his review. There is much more to Timmy than some of these "lesser mortals" discern! Nice job Tim!
I will have to rely on your review because like Rosie O'Donnel Bill Mahr is one of those people I cannot watch more than 30 seconds of. He is one of the most annoying persons on earth.
I'm with you on this one. I don't care if the movie is oscar-worthy, I can't stand Bill Maher. End of story.
But then...I didn't watch Borat, either, even to see a UPC minister have a fleeting moment of fame.
Movies lose their charm for me if they star someone I can't stand.

It is not name calling - in this case. Timmy is my "friend" but he does not accept the scripture as infallible. That puts him just a few paces beyond the Pope from what I view as Absolute Truth... Of course if that does not work for you you can take it as Timmy did - a bit TIC.
Bless you Timmy.

"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
It is interesting to note that during an interview with Bill Maher about this movie the interviewer said...
"Here's the thing that was an underlying thought... in the movie was you wish that Christians... would be more Christlike"
To which Bill Maher replied... "Don't We All"
Kinda reminds me of the Ghandi quote.
“I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ.”
and tank you Timmy!
my 2 cents:
we can learn alot from our so-called enemies. Bill needs our prayers. Bill just needs a shove in the right direction...which apparently he's never had. Too bad. Bill reminds me of Paul when he was Saul.....
2Peter 1:4-7 Eph 4: 12-14
12to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
I don't care to listen to Bill or Rosie much either, but, there is a ring of truth, a mirror, by which we can learn a few things, to make ourselves better representatives of Christ.
