Re: Golf
The last time my husband took me golfing I got to drive the golf cart.Well that didnt turn out to well because I didnt know that I wasnt supposed to drive on the green and I drove right up to the putting hole right between the hole and his golf ball!! He was golfing with his two friends and the air was windy so the balls were going all over the place and I started laughing and saying something about them being the three stooges.Well needless to say I dont get to drive the golf cart any more even though I promise to be good.hahahaha!!LOL!!

Re: Golf
I am ashamed of some of you on this thread. Golf is a sin. The only approved sport is football. Both NCAA and NFL.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Golf
It is God's game. One God--1 golf ball is used and the object is to get into 1 hole. You only hit with 1 club at a time. Only play on 1 course at a time. The best is that every now and again there are baptisms.....when you hit your tee shot into a water hazard. Then you might curse, repent and get closer to God all in a 4 hour round.

Not that the rest of you aren't worth doing that for, but come on, folks! This is Sis Alvear we are talking about! How often do we get to meet a legend like her?
