The Reagan Republicans could fix this. Cut taxes! That is the only thing that has ever brought freedom and prosperity to anyone.
The thing the Republicans failed at (and it was HUGE!) was in trusting the Democrats and DNC supports who run the banking industry to behave like gentlemen. Our failings havee always been:
1) Listening to Democrats
2) Voting for Democrats
3) Acting like Democrats when we should have been doing what the people demanded when they elected us in 1992.
Notice - - - all of the "doom and gloom" numbers seem to be taking us back to the time when Newt Gingrich was run out of his job as Speaker?
"Stock Market Back to 1995 Levels" etc. Maybe it's time for Newt again. Only this time instead of attacking who he sleeps with - lets follow the fiduciary trust Conservatism inspires.

I wish I could say "No way!" ... but you got me. That's why it's the ideas that we need to fight for. Before Reagan the last President to cut taxes and stimulate the economy was a Democrat, JFK. Kennedy was bucking against the spurs of his own party's New Deal mindset of spend, tax and control. I don't think he ever got enough credit for that.
What Reagan did in the 80's was to re-introduce Kennedy's and Eiseenhower's policies. But whatever party did it - IF they did it, it always works. Cut taxs means giving people more freedom and more control over their own lives. Some will be wasteful, but overall freedom always works.
Kind of like giving our tithe to whoever demands it in the sternest and strictest tone? The angry preacher has the most "fear of God" on him doesn't he? Therefore I know it won't go to support a his mistresses and to payoff the lawyer for that incident out of state?

Get used to it , this is what happens when socialism takes over .
Investment advisors are telling people to invest in government lobbied programs that deflate the private sector and cause a recoil from investors in the market as we knew it . Welcome to Obamaland , the land of the owned and the home of the same .
Also when you raise the taxes of the ones creating jobs , you know , the ones that actually make over $250,000 a year , the you create the instabilty not only in investment but also in the creation of new jobs . Employers will not hire less when their tax rate goes up to 40% and then Stock Market will crash even more . At this rate we will see the Dow drop below 5,000 very soon .
