I think they're blending "conservatives". Just because one is "conservative" it doesn't mean they are moral or a Christian.
The problem is most Christians identify themselves with "conservatives" more than they do Christ. So when "conservatives" are proven to be the wicked lot that they are....society lumps Christians right up there with them. It's the natural result of Christianity's unholy marriage with "conservatism".
I often tell people that I'm NOT a conservative and that I'm NOT a liberal. I might have a political leaning but primarily...I'm a CHRISTIAN.

Christians need to stop worshiping the title "conservative" and get back to embracing the title "Christian". I've almost got to the point where I detest being identified by any label outside of being called a Christian. Because neither the label of Conservative or Liberal fits me.

But let's get down to where the rubber meets the road...being a "conservative" doesn't necessary equal being moral....nor does being a "liberal" mean being immoral. For example...most Libertarians are "conservative"...but many Libertarians are far from "moral". I know devout Catholics who are very moral....but politically liberal.

I think where the rubber meets the road, RATHER, we should say being a conservative does not mean being a closet pervert which is what these kinds of studies seek to prove

..that ranks right up there with the name of Jesus in baptism being a magical incantation. Nobody worships the title conservative. That is the kind of inflammatory rhetoric we don't need from anyone

Another dumb post, sorry but it's true. Conservatives are not inheritly a wicked lot and some stupid and unsubstantiated "poll" does not prove it. More inflammatory rhetoric we don't need. You seem to think the more inflammatory you can be the better.

The idea that conservatives are more hypocritical than any other 'label' is ridiculous and laughable.
