In fact I think that the insinuation of "hateful" Pentecostals is coming mostly from the fertile imaginations of bitter, backslidden ex Apostolics who are constantly trying to find a way to justify their actions. ~ strait shooter
I am so sorry and pray that the Lord would help everything to work out as far
as your sister and your family is concerned. He can make a difference.May He
give assistance in this situation, in Jesus Name!
Fifty years ago, my late father founded the church that I have been a part
of all that time.
That Sunday morning, Nov. 12, 1958, the first service of this beginning, a
young girl attended. Her mother came to the evening service. We learned
that this mother had received the Holy Ghost in 1944, in a city ten miles away.
Due to her husband's illness, Huntington's disease, called "St. Vitus' dance" back
then), she was unable to travel ten miles to the church where she had received
the Holy Ghost. She prayed that God would send someone to her small town so
she could attend the house of God. In 1958, my late father began that "house
of God" where she and her family would attend until she was unable to because
of or age and health. She and her daughter were a tremendous blessing for many
years. Her daugher married and moved away. But over the years this dear sister
lost her husband, her two sons, and the daughter (faithful unto death) with the
dreaded disease that had plagued her husband's family for decades. Huntington's
disease. One of the saddest disease's I have ever been witness to. She lost all
three of her children, and her husband, before her own death. And just this year
her late youngest son's youngest daughter,30 yrs. old. died from Huntington's
disease.
She has two more grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, who also could
inherit this disease. Her late husband's sister, who passed away two or three years
ago, an apostolic lady, never was affected by the disease. Neither was any of her
children. but his brother and his family were affected. His mother died and twenty
plus other relatives died before 1958.
God gave this dear old saint of God much grace to endure what she endured through
the years. Our city remembers this dear lady and wonders how she endured in spite
of her hardships and heavy burdens. She endured hardships as a good soldier. No doubt
her reward will be great.
He giveth more grace! And His grace is sufficient!
Aww, Ron, I am so sorry to hear this. I know you have to be in terrible heart pain. I'll be praying for all of you through this. Please remember as each day comes that you are not alone. We're all here, holding your arms up when they become too weary for you to hold up on your own.
Big hugs, brother!
