You did put an intersting title on the thread. That is what caused me to click on it. That a very recognized poster (you).

But, I do agree, it's amazing what gets attention here at AAF.

Doctrine, unless it's a standards thread, get's little attention compared to other more weighty matters.

But, you made your point..

Indeed I did. My point could not have been made without it.

Think I'll go back and post on the Feminists thread.
What do you expect from a bunch of car drivers?

rrford,

I understand your angst but here are a few things to consider.

This forum is not only a source of serious discussion but one of entertainment for many folks. It is a place where we can relax and take our minds off whatever cares of the day we have while enjoying some lighthearted banter back and forth.

I am very quilty the last six months or more of reading many of the serious threads but not neccesarily posting on them as I most times don't have the time to do it justice.

Much of my reading and posting comes while doing other work. I am sitting here right now surrounded by three computers! The enviroment does not lend itself to much serious discussion.

There will always be a place for the serious threads of great importance on AFF and I value them highly. Don't be discouraged when not everyone of them takes off with a lot of posting.

I totally agree and understand. As you know I also post a good bit on the silly threads and even follow threads wherever they may roam. At times, though, you post something that you would like to see some serious response to before it delves off into the netherworld. No biggie, really.
