Well, I pastor on the West Coast, so it won't be on the way from LA to Ohio, unless you do a scenic route, LOL! But I would love to see your materials.
Lord Willing, I will go to India in May, 2009.

There are a number of "Flowers" in the UPC. I know that some of them are related. There is a church near here with a Flower for a pastor :-)

- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: A Word Fitly Spoken....Prophets in the Church
The Flowers that Jesus spoke to us about by name in prophecy were first sent to exactly where He said, Madagascar. The neat thing is that they are no longer there.
Only Jesus knew this and no one knew about our African connection. We just showed up at this church service.
Brother Keith go to our seminary site and check out our graduates. Somewhere on You Tube Bruce posted one of his services or a bit of one.I am not sure of that link right now.
He baptised thirty one night in a river. He is braver than I am.lol. We have lots more stuff but not space there to put it.

How many times does a prophet have to miss to be a false prophet?

Re: A Word Fitly Spoken....Prophets in the Church
Bro Pierce is out ministering again?
I enjoy him a lot.
He came to Vancouver in 93 & was spot on in what he told people.
We have him on audio & video!
He called me out and ministered to me the second night.
Glad to hear this Trouvere!

Re: A Word Fitly Spoken....Prophets in the Church
Brother Pierce is pastoring again. His web site is www.kingdompeace.com
Brother Epley I don't know the answer to that but I one preacher told me something once that I knew was of the devil. The words that we receive ought to confirm what we are already hearing from Jesus. We have the Holy Ghost and should never be surprised.
Many times the words I have received were the second or third witness as in the instance of the house I had been praying for. I first saw the house in a vision and then a man of God spoke it and again another man of God this weekend. I am sure sometimes people miss it. Many times I have heard people preach sermons that should have been torn up and thrown in the trash because they wasted my time and everyone elses there especially those that were done by them on their thirty minute dash and never prestudied for or prayed over. I would call this equal to false prophesy or the sin of sham at the least.

According the NT definition of a prophet, a missed prophecy does not make a false prophet.
The NT equivalent of an OT prophet is the office of a teacher according to 2 Peter 2:1. So teachers are under a heavier scrutiny rather than a Prophet who couldnt discern between his grey matter and the voice of the Spirit.
I am not excusing error or making light out of missing it, but just because a sincere man or woman of God steps out in faith speaks what they feel God is saying about someone/situation and has that word tested and found wanting doesn't make them a false prophet.

Re: A Word Fitly Spoken....Prophets in the Church
Unfortunantly, the role of the prophet is missing in so many of the apostolic churches today. I guess my understanding of that role might be different that others. A prophet was one that said "Thus saith the Lord". Good, bad or ugly. That is why a true prophet today is not as accepted today because so many don't want to hear the Word of the All seeing God. They want the good but not the disciplinary.

Re: A Word Fitly Spoken....Prophets in the Church
I LOVE THE PROPHETIC!!
BTW, Trouvere, David & Donna Flowers went to Madagascar a long time ago from here in Tennessee. They pastored a church here in Henderson that my FIL used to pastor in between his time in Liberia & Kenya. The Flowers are wonderful people!! His brother Rick is married to Renee (Becton) and I think they pastor in TX. There is another brother here in TN, but he's not in fulltime ministry.
